March Community Meeting
Join us on Thursday, March 27th at 7-8pm, 1200 Carpenter St.
Please join us for our next in-person general meeting!

Where: Hawthorne Cultural Center at 1200 Carpenter St.
Join your neighbors for the latest in community news, including how the HEC board members are holding the Post Brothers to the commitments they made to us. We also have made further progress on our initiatives to support the arts, education scholarships, fighting climate change, and events in Hawthorne Park. We would love to have you help with these initiatives!
The agenda for this meeting includes:
- Meet HEC’s new and longstanding board members
- Zoning committee and how you can help sustain Hawthorne
- Hawthorne and Ridgway Parks
- Hawthorne Garden
- Update on the Education Committee
- Scholarship awards
- Update on safe streets and traffic light timing on Washington Ave.
- Bike lane parking regulations
- Neighborhood arts initiatives
- Treasurer’s report
- Your questions and concerns
We have several new board members, but you are also needed to serve on the HEC board. We need new officers on the board to serve as vice president, recording secretary, and zoning lead.
Getting involved in the HEC is a great way to meet your neighbors and support our community.
